Old Testament

Shobach (or Shophach) was the commander of Hadadezer's army, who was killed by David's men during a battle.

Shobach was the commander of the army of Hadadezer, king of Aram-Zobah, who led the Aramean forces gathered from beyond the Euphrates against David's army (2 Samuel 10:16–18). He was wounded and died in the battle at Helam, where David decisively defeated the Aramean coalition and consolidated Israelite dominance over the Transjordanian and Syrian regions.
