Jeremiah 30:7 calls it 'the time of Jacob's trouble.' Christians debate whether the tribulation is a future seven-year period, the church age's ongoing suffering, or a combination. John 16:33 assures, 'In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.'
