Biztha was one of the seven eunuchs serving King Ahasuerus of Persia, dispatched to bring Queen Vashti before the king at the great royal banquet (Esther 1:10). When Vashti refused the royal summons, the king's anger was aroused, leading to her deposition and ultimately to Esther's elevation as queen. Biztha's brief mention as one of these seven chamberlains places him at the pivotal opening scene of the book of Esther.
