Padon was an ancestor of a group of temple servants who returned from the Babylonian exile.

Padon was the ancestor of a family of temple servants whose descendants returned to Jerusalem from the Babylonian exile under Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:44; Nehemiah 7:47). Temple servants performed menial labor in support of the priestly service and constituted a hereditary class within the post-exilic restoration community. Padon appears only as an ancestral name in these returning-exile registers.
