Old Testament

Keros was the name of a family of temple servants (Nethinim) who returned to Jerusalem from Babylonian exile.

Keros was the ancestor of a family of temple servants (Nethinim) who returned to Jerusalem with Zerubbabel after the Babylonian exile (Ezra 2:44; Nehemiah 7:47). The Nethinim were a class of servants dedicated to assisting the Levites in temple service, possibly descended from the Gibeonites who became 'hewers of wood and drawers of water' (Joshua 9:27). Keros is known only as the eponymous ancestor of this returning family and appears in no other context.
