Пхануэль

Phanuel was a member of the tribe of Asher and the father of Anna the prophetess, who had lived as a widow in the Jerusalem temple for most of her long life (Luke 2:36). When the infant Jesus was brought to the temple for his presentation, Anna joined Simeon in recognizing and proclaiming the child as the long-awaited redemption of Jerusalem. Phanuel is known only through this paternal connection to his prophetically gifted daughter.
