Shedeur was a Reubenite whose son Elizur served as the appointed leader of the tribe of Reuben during the wilderness period, assisting Moses in the census and in the organization of the Israelite camp (Numbers 1:5; 2:10; 7:30; 10:18). His name appears only through this genealogical connection to his son.
