Схефар

Shethar was one of the seven princes of Persia and Media who had access to the presence of King Ahasuerus and were consulted regarding the queen's refusal to appear before the king (Esther 1:14). His counsel, along with that of his fellow princes, led to the royal decree ordering every wife to honor her husband, setting in motion the events that would eventually place Esther on the throne.
