The sacrificial death of Jesus, symbolized by his shed blood, which accomplishes redemption, cleansing, and covenant. Ephesians 1:7 declares, 'In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins.' First John 1:7 promises, 'The blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.' Hebrews 9:14 asks, 'How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences?' Revelation 12:11 proclaims victory 'by the blood of the Lamb.' Romans 5:9 assures, 'We have now been justified by his blood.' The blood of Christ is the Bible's ultimate answer to the problem of sin and separation from God.
