Гимн
Songs of praise embedded within the biblical text, often marking moments of great theological significance. The New Testament contains several recognized hymnic passages: the Philippian Christ hymn (Philippians 2:6-11), the Colossian hymn (Colossians 1:15-20), and the prologue of John's Gospel (John 1:1-18). Old Testament hymns include the Song of Moses (Exodus 15:1-18), Hannah's Song (1 Samuel 2:1-10), and numerous psalms. Mary's Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55) and Zechariah's Benedictus (Luke 1:68-79) are New Testament hymns. Early Christians were instructed to sing 'psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit' (Ephesians 5:19). Hymns crystallize theology into memorable, singable worship.
