Пневматология

The study of the Holy Spirit — his person, work, and ministry in the life of believers and the church. The Spirit is portrayed as divine (Acts 5:3-4), personal (Ephesians 4:30), and active from creation (Genesis 1:2) through the present age. Jesus promised the Spirit as 'another Advocate' (John 14:16-17) who convicts the world of sin (John 16:8), regenerates believers (John 3:5-8), indwells them (Romans 8:9), seals them (Ephesians 1:13-14), and empowers them for service (Acts 1:8). The Spirit distributes spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-11) and produces Christ-like character (Galatians 5:22-23).
