Десять казней египетских

The ten miraculous judgments God sent upon Egypt to compel Pharaoh to release the Israelites (Exodus 7-12). They progressed in severity: water to blood, frogs, gnats, flies, livestock disease, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, and death of the firstborn. Each plague challenged specific Egyptian deities — the Nile god (blood), the frog goddess Heqet (frogs), the sun god Ra (darkness). Pharaoh's magicians could initially replicate some signs but eventually admitted, 'This is the finger of God' (Exodus 8:19). The plagues demonstrated God's supreme power over nature, over Egypt's gods, and over the hardened human heart. They remain a powerful testament to divine sovereignty and justice.
