Honesty

Truthfulness in speech and conduct, reflecting God's own character as the God of truth. Proverbs 12:22 states, 'The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.' Ephesians 4:25 commands, 'Each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor.' Leviticus 19:36 required 'honest scales and honest weights.' Proverbs 11:1 affirms, 'The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him.' Zechariah 8:16 instructs, 'Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts.' Honesty is foundational to healthy relationships, just communities, and genuine worship.
