Shepherd's Staff

The shepherd's tool consisting of a rod (for protection) and a staff (for guidance), symbolizing God's care for his people. Psalm 23:4 testifies, 'Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.' The rod defended sheep from predators (1 Samuel 17:34-35), while the staff's crook guided wandering sheep back to the flock. Moses' staff became a symbol of divine authority — turning into a serpent (Exodus 4:2-5), parting the Red Sea (Exodus 14:16), and striking the rock for water (Exodus 17:5-6).
