The study of humanity from a biblical perspective — created in God's image, fallen through sin, and redeemed by grace. Genesis 1:26-27 establishes the imago Dei as the foundation of human dignity and purpose. Psalm 8:5 marvels that God crowned humans with glory and honor. Yet Genesis 3 records the fall that marred every aspect of human nature. Romans 3:23 confirms 'all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.' The New Testament reveals that in Christ, the image of God is being restored (Colossians 3:10, 2 Corinthians 3:18). Humanity's ultimate destiny is resurrection and glorification (1 Corinthians 15:42-49).
