Throne
The seat of sovereign authority, representing divine rule throughout Scripture. Psalm 47:8 declares, 'God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.' Isaiah 6:1 saw the Lord 'seated on a throne, high and exalted.' Daniel 7:9 describes the Ancient of Days taking his throne for judgment. Hebrews 4:16 invites believers to 'approach God's throne of grace with confidence.' Revelation's throne room scenes (chapters 4-5) portray God on the central throne, surrounded by worship. Christ 'sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven' (Hebrews 8:1). Revelation 3:21 promises overcomers the right to sit with Christ on his throne.
