Warriors
Fighters and military figures throughout biblical history who served in God's purposes. Joshua led Israel's conquest of Canaan (Joshua 6-12). Judges like Gideon (Judges 7), Deborah and Barak (Judges 4-5), and Samson (Judges 14-16) delivered Israel from enemies. David was Israel's greatest warrior-king, defeating Goliath (1 Samuel 17) and establishing the kingdom. Scripture also presents spiritual warfare: Ephesians 6:10-18 urges believers to put on the 'armor of God.' The ultimate warrior is Christ himself, who conquers evil at his return (Revelation 19:11-16). God is called 'the Lord of hosts' — commander of heavenly armies.
