Discipling
The process of helping others grow as followers of Christ, central to the Great Commission. Jesus discipled twelve men by calling them to follow, teaching them, sending them out, and entrusting them with his mission (Mark 3:14-15). His method involved life-on-life relationship, not merely classroom instruction. Matthew 28:19-20 commands 'make disciples... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded.' Paul modeled discipling: 'Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ' (1 Corinthians 11:1). Second Timothy 2:2 envisions four generations of discipling. Discipling produces multiplication rather than mere addition — each disciple making more disciples in an expanding chain.
