Harvest
The gathering of crops, a powerful metaphor for spiritual reaping throughout Scripture. God promised Israel seasons of harvest as covenant blessing (Leviticus 26:4-5). Three annual harvest festivals — Firstfruits, Weeks (Pentecost), and Tabernacles — structured Israel's worship calendar. Jesus declared, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few' (Matthew 9:37), urging mission. Galatians 6:7-9 teaches, 'A man reaps what he sows... Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest.' Revelation 14:14-16 depicts the final harvest — the gathering of souls at the end of the age.
