Passover

20 câu

The annual feast commemorating Israel's deliverance from Egyptian slavery, when God 'passed over' houses marked with lamb's blood (Exodus 12:1-14). Each household sacrificed a lamb, ate it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs, and retold the story of liberation. Jesus celebrated Passover at the Last Supper and reinterpreted it: the bread as his body, the wine as 'the new covenant in my blood' (Luke 22:19-20). Paul declared, 'Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed' (1 Corinthians 5:7). The Passover connects exodus, crucifixion, and communion in a continuous thread of God's redemptive action through sacrificial blood.
