The battle between the kingdom of God and the forces of darkness, played out in both heavenly and earthly realms. Paul urges believers to put on the 'full armor of God' — truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Jesus modeled spiritual warfare by resisting Satan with Scripture (Matthew 4:1-11). Second Corinthians 10:3-5 speaks of divine weapons that 'demolish strongholds.' James 4:7 promises, 'Resist the devil, and he will flee.'
