Jesus is born in Bethlehem to the Virgin Mary, fulfilling the prophecy of Micah 5:2. Angels announce the birth to shepherds, and magi from the East follow a star to worship the newborn King.

Jesus is baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. The heavens open, the Spirit descends like a dove, and the Father's voice declares: 'This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'

After His baptism, the Spirit leads Jesus into the wilderness where Satan tempts Him for forty days. Jesus overcomes every temptation by quoting Scripture — 'It is written...'

Jesus delivers His most famous teaching, including the Beatitudes, the Lord's Prayer, and radical commands to love enemies and turn the other cheek. This manifesto of the Kingdom sets the ethical standard for His followers.

On a high mountain, Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James, and John — His face shining like the sun and His clothes becoming dazzling white. Moses and Elijah appear, and the Father again affirms Jesus as His Son.

Jesus raises His friend Lazarus from the dead four days after burial, declaring 'I am the resurrection and the life.' This miracle demonstrates Jesus' power over death and foreshadows His own resurrection.

Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey as crowds wave palm branches and shout 'Hosanna!' — fulfilling Zechariah 9:9. This public declaration of messiahship triggers the events of Passion Week.

On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus celebrates Passover with His disciples, institutes the Lord's Supper with bread and wine representing His body and blood, and washes His disciples' feet.

Jesus is crucified on Golgotha outside Jerusalem, bearing the sins of the world. Darkness covers the land, the Temple veil tears in two, and Jesus cries 'It is finished' before yielding His spirit.

On the third day, Jesus rises from the dead — the empty tomb is discovered by women who came to anoint His body. Over forty days, He appears to the disciples and over 500 witnesses, confirming His victory over death.

Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus ascends into heaven from the Mount of Olives, promising to return. The disciples are told: 'This same Jesus will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.'
