Jaddua was one of the leaders who sealed the covenant made by the people of Israel during Nehemiah's time.

Jaddua was one of the leaders who affixed his seal to the covenant of renewed obedience made by the people of Israel and Judah during Nehemiah's time (Nehemiah 10:21). A high priest named Jaddua also appears in Nehemiah 12:11, 22 as the last high priest listed in the genealogy of the Aaronic line through the post-exilic period. Josephus (Antiquities 11.7–8) records that this high priest Jaddua met Alexander the Great during his campaign, though the historicity of the account is debated by scholars.
