Syntyche was a prominent woman in Philippi whom Paul urged to reconcile with Euodia.

Syntyche was a prominent woman in the church at Philippi whom the apostle Paul personally addressed in his letter, urging her to reconcile with her fellow believer Euodia (Philippians 4:2). Paul appealed to a companion to help mediate between the two women and described both as having labored beside him in the gospel. The very fact that Paul named Syntyche publicly in a letter read to the whole congregation indicates she held a position of some influence within the Philippian community.
