自然神学

The knowledge of God available through creation and human reason apart from special revelation. Psalm 19:1 declares, 'The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.' Romans 1:19-20 argues that God's 'invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.' Acts 14:17 and 17:22-31 show Paul appealing to natural knowledge of God in evangelistic contexts. While natural theology reveals God's existence and power, Scripture teaches it is insufficient for salvation, which requires the special revelation of the gospel.
