西奈之约

The covenant God established with Israel at Mount Sinai, making them his special people bound by his law. Exodus 19:5-6 articulates its terms: 'If you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession... a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' Unlike the unconditional Abrahamic covenant, the Sinaitic covenant included conditions — blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience (Deuteronomy 28). It was ratified with blood (Exodus 24:3-8). Jeremiah 31:31-34 prophesied a new covenant to replace it, one written on hearts rather than stone. Paul argues in Galatians 3-4 that the Sinaitic law served as a temporary guardian until Christ came.
