Ezekiel 39:29
Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

The climactic promise 'neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God' concludes the great Gog and Magog battle vision with a permanent eschatological covenant: divine face-presence and Spirit-outpouring as the markers of the fully restored relationship. The 'hiding of the face' (Hebrews hester panim) is the characteristic Old Testament image for divine withdrawal in judgment (Deuteronomy 31:17-18; Psalm 27:9; Isaiah 54:8), making its permanent removal the ultimate covenant-restoration promise. The Spirit-pouring recalls Joel 2:28-29 (quoted by Peter at Pentecost in Acts 2:17-18) and frames the Spirit's arrival not as an occasional visitation but as the permanent mark of the new-covenant community. The verse became foundational for Pentecostal theologies that read Acts 2 as the beginning of the promised permanent face-presence and Spirit-indwelling.
