Ethnic and linguistic groups with little or no access to the gospel, the continuing focus of Christ's Great Commission. Jesus commissioned his followers to reach 'all nations' (panta ta ethne, Matthew 28:19). Revelation 5:9 celebrates Christ's redemption of people 'from every tribe and language and people and nation.' Romans 15:20-21 expressed Paul's ambition 'to preach the gospel where Christ was not known.' Isaiah 49:6 prophesied God's servant would be 'a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.' The task remains: thousands of people groups still lack Scripture, churches, and gospel witness. The biblical mandate is to reach every people with the good news.
