Cultivated grapevines that symbolize Israel, spiritual fruitfulness, and joy. Isaiah 5:1-7 presents Israel as God's vineyard that produced wild grapes instead of good fruit. Psalm 80:8-16 calls Israel a vine brought out of Egypt. Jesus declared, 'I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener' (John 15:1), contrasting himself with unfaithful Israel. Noah planted a vineyard after the flood (Genesis 9:20). Naboth's vineyard caused injustice and prophetic rebuke (1 Kings 21). Micah 4:4 envisions peace as sitting 'under their own vine.' Vineyards represent both the blessing of productive labor and the expectation that God's people will bear good fruit.
