いのちの書
A heavenly register containing the names of those who belong to God and will receive eternal life. Exodus 32:32-33 first mentions it when Moses pleads with God not to blot his name out. Psalm 69:28 references 'the book of life.' Daniel 12:1 promises deliverance for 'everyone whose name is found written in the book.' Philippians 4:3 mentions coworkers 'whose names are in the book of life.' Revelation mentions it seven times, culminating in 20:15: 'Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.' Revelation 21:27 states only those written in the Lamb's book of life enter the New Jerusalem.
