God's nearness and active presence within his creation, complementing his transcendence. Acts 17:27-28 declares that God is 'not far from any one of us, for in him we live and move and have our being.' Psalm 46:1 calls God 'our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.' Jeremiah 23:23 asks, 'Am I only a God nearby?' The incarnation is the supreme expression of divine immanence — God dwelling among us in human flesh (John 1:14). Through the Holy Spirit, God indwells every believer (1 Corinthians 6:19), making immanence an intimate, personal reality for the church.
