이스라엘의 왕들
The monarchs who ruled Israel and Judah from Saul through the Babylonian exile. Israel demanded a king like the nations (1 Samuel 8:5), and God gave them Saul, then David, then Solomon. After Solomon, the kingdom divided: the northern kingdom (Israel) had 19 kings, all wicked; the southern kingdom (Judah) had 20 kings, some righteous. David was the standard — a man after God's own heart (Acts 13:22) through whom God established an eternal dynasty (2 Samuel 7:12-16). The failure of human kings pointed forward to the ultimate King, Jesus the Messiah, descendant of David (Matthew 1:1).
