The new covenant operates through the Spirit who transforms hearts from within. Romans 8:2 declares, 'The law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.' This principle prevents reducing Christianity to mere rule-keeping while upholding genuine obedience empowered by love.
