地震
Seismic events that in Scripture accompany divine intervention, judgment, and revelation. Mount Sinai 'trembled violently' when God descended (Exodus 19:18). An earthquake swallowed Korah's rebels (Numbers 16:31-33). Elijah experienced an earthquake on Horeb, though God was not in it (1 Kings 19:11-12). Amos prophesied two years before a notable earthquake (Amos 1:1). At Jesus' crucifixion, 'the earth shook, the rocks split' (Matthew 27:51). At his resurrection, 'there was a violent earthquake' (Matthew 28:2). An earthquake freed Paul and Silas from prison (Acts 16:26). Revelation features earthquakes as judgment signs (Revelation 6:12, 11:13, 16:18). Earthquakes signal God's active power in history.
