Proverbs 16:31 declares, 'Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.' Psalm 92:14 promises that the righteous 'will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.' Abraham was called at age 75 (Genesis 12:4). Moses led Israel at 80 (Exodus 7:7). Caleb claimed his mountain at 85 (Joshua 14:10-12). Simeon and Anna served faithfully in the temple in their old age (Luke 2:25-38). Psalm 71:18 prays, 'Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation.'
