The future bodily raising of all people for judgment, grounded in Christ's own resurrection. Daniel 12:2 prophesied, 'Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.' Jesus affirmed, 'A time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out' (John 5:28-29). First Corinthians 15:20-23 presents Christ's resurrection as the 'firstfruits' guaranteeing believers' resurrection. Paul describes the transformation: 'The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable' (1 Corinthians 15:42). Revelation 20:12-13 depicts both sea and death giving up their dead for final judgment.
