マタイの福音書 6:13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Study Note
'And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.' The doxological conclusion — 'thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory' — is absent from the oldest manuscripts but appears in the Didache (c. 100 CE), suggesting early liturgical use that brought the prayer to a fitting close. The three-fold ascription (kingdom, power, glory) directly addresses the three temptations Satan offers in Matthew 4 (kingdoms, miraculous display, glory), making the prayer a theological counter-statement to every temptation to pursue power through means other than the Father's will.
